As Senior Design Manager for SU Labs, Christine combines her passion for human centered design with exponential technologies to provide design and innovation guidance for start-up, corporate and field impact teams. She enjoys designing and facilitating workshops, mentoring incubation teams and finding new ways to imagine possible futures inspiring innovation.
Throughout her nearly 20-year design career Christine has worn many hats. Prior to joining SU she was a lecturer in the industrial design department at San Jose State University. She began her career designing experiences for early internet start-ups such as eToys, Ask Jeeves and BabyCenter. She’s consulted for numerous Fortune 500 companies in addition to starting and running an independent children’s clothing and design company focused on sustainable, locally made products. While finishing her education she worked in the San Francisco office of IDEO where she developed a focus on design thinking and discovering un-met needs.
Christine earned a BFA in Painting from Washington University in St. Louis and a BFA in Industrial Design from the California College of Art in San Francisco. Her work has earned several design awards including a Webby, an IDEA Award, 2 Dyson Awards and an IDSA Merit Award. She has been profiled by Innovation Magazine, the Los Angeles Times and the New York Times.
