We’re building a movement to connect and activate our global community, and in doing so we hope to help to build and contribute to this future.
We started with the Singularity University Women’s Impact Network, an initiative focused on promoting gender equity and supporting women, female identifying folks and allies in this space. In doing this important work, we also acknowledge that there are a multitude of intersecting elements that shape the rights and opportunities for women, and all people. The intersections of these elements, converging with the indisputable fact that technology is accelerating at a rapid, exponential pace and in doing so it is unlocking new possibilities for all of us in every industry and field – is what inspires us to take this initiative to the next level.
What does this mean? We are evolving and expanding our scope to focus on more elements of diversity, equity and inclusion. As we consider questions like “How can we ensure that those opportunities are equally distributed and accessible to all of us, truly?” We don’t propose to know the right answer and believe there are a multitude of solutions and approaches. Our goal with this new, expanded initiative is to connect and catalyze those in the SU ecosystem, and beyond, who are in support of a more equitable future.
Whether you are a startup founder, business leader, nonprofit employee, artist, board member or anything in between – an inclusive, diverse and equitable future is one that is better for all of us. We invite you to join us as we talk about it, envision it and co-create it together.
Setting the standard for gender equity and empowerment in all of SU’s work.
The Women’s Impact Network’s mission is to promote gender equity, diversity, inclusion, and empowerment for all in the SU community, within the SU staff, and across all programs. Our vision is to create a global community of women and female-identifying people who have access to the development and tools that enable them to reach their highest potential, setting the standard for gender equity and empowerment in all of SU’s work.
Women’s Impact Network advocates for SU to create and maintain an inclusive and equitable culture, with a flexible and empowering workplace and a diverse and representative workforce and community. Women’s Impact Network was launched in 2016 as an employee resource group for staff and faculty at SU, then re-launched in 2018 as a global women’s initiative to include our community (Chapters, Country Partners, Global Impact Challenges, Summits, Experts, and alumni around the world).
The Women’s Impact Network is chaired by Molly Pyle. She is supported by a team of dedicated SU employees who work together as thought leaders and content producers in support of Women’s Impact Network initiatives. All of this is done in addition to everyday roles and responsibilities. Women’s Impact Network is a working example of what can be done when people within an organization step up to challenge the status quo and actively create the positive change they wish to see in the world.

As a member of the this movement, you will receive emails from us about upcoming opportunities and events (both in-person and virtual) that will connect you to SU and current issues and topics we’re focused on. Members are not bystanders but rather they are passionate people of action – people of all backgrounds are invited to partner with us to put on an event (a panel, a networking event, a Women’s or Allie’s circle, or more!) or propose a topic to be discussed virtually via webinar. We empower members with toolkits and templates to be agents of equity and impact wherever you are – if you are committed to creating a more equitable world, we are with you on that mission, come on and join us.
Anyone who is aligned with our movement’s mission, vision, and values and wants to be part of building a more equitable future can be a part of the movement. The movement is open and inclusive to all. We welcome those who are passionate, inspired and driven to increase equity in the world. You do not have to be an alum of Singularity University, but we do hope the mission of Singularity University inspires you, as we are a product of our credo.
