About the Speakers

Karl Sanchack (Moderator)

Karl engages with companies to enhance their business and innovation management practices. With over 3 decades of technology experience at organizations ranging from Silicon Valley startups to Lockheed Martin Corporation, Karl envisions and delivers breakthrough innovation leadership and product outcomes. Specifically, he guides horizon 2/3 investments in projects spanning cyber solutions through nanotechnology, as part of a global practice.

Ben King (Moderator)

Ben has worked for corporations such as GE Lighting, CSA-International, Cres Cor, and Bosch Home Appliances. His efforts led to M&A activity, development strategies to engage non-traditional partners (including start-ups), and successful collaborations with global responsibility to push/pull innovation (while at Bosch). This experience has given Ben the opportunity to build relationships with some of the most innovative companies, laboratories, and startups.

Jason Heckathorn (Panelist)

Jason is a high-energy entrepreneur with a passion for starting and growing businesses. As CEO of Forever Oceans, Jason is focused on developing world-leading scalable solutions for producing quality seafood that is environmentally friendly. Jason founded the Mobile Fish Pens line of business at Lockheed Martin using repurposed space technologies. After several successful years, Jason lead the sanctioned spin-out of LM Aquaculture to become the Forever Oceans Corporation.

Mr. Kay Clemens (Panelist)

Kay is Founder and CTO of WeWash GmbH, which is developing comprehensive IoT solutions for urban laundry care. Kay oversees IoT hardware and software development, machine learning strategy, IT infrastructure, and HR processes. His experience stems from his role as the innovation manager at BSH Hausgeräte GmbH, where he often made the impossible possible as he led the creation, ideation, and development of digital business models and digital services for the home appliances industry.
