FREDsense Technologies Corps
FREDsense Technologies is a Calgary-based biosensor company commercializing fast, portable and cost-effective kits for water analysis. Our objective is to take water analysis out of the slow and expensive centralized laboratory and into the field. Combining genetic engineering and electrochemistry, we use biomanufacturing to produce sensors that are cost-effective and tuneable. Compared to traditional sensors, our biology-based approach allows us to easily engineer sensors for a variety of different specific contaminants. Our easy-to-use devices allow water testing at the source of contamination, making it easier to provide actionable information about water quality in minutes instead of days. We provide specific information about contaminant levels with high sensitivity. Our initial focus is on water treatment, remediation and mining industries, however our platform technology has the potential to be used in a variety of different applications making up the 3$ billion and growing water monitoring opportunity.

There are three main factors that result in 3DEO's industry-leading low part costs - extremely low machine cost, commodity materials, and creative software design.
